Chute Technology helped an Australian coal mining operation by designing and installing a new coal chute with self-cleaning flow surfaces to radically reduce downtime from approximately 700 minutes per month to just 10.

Chute Technology utilised Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as part of the design process cycle to simulate real-world conditions and modify designs to achieve the best and most cost-effective outcomes.

A new modular chute and conveyor solution is providing reliability for an Australian coal mining operation. The mine operator engaged Chute Technology for an all-in-one solution, including design, project management, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.

A mining operation was experiencing an issue with roof bolts passing through sizers and vibrating screens. Chute Technology used its problem-solving expertise, combined with expert DEM simulation to engineer a solution.

See a new Chute Technology dewatering chute in action, as we walk through during commissioning. You can see the volume of water being separated from the coal, and discharged via a pipe.
